Before I start, I got to admit…. Watching Ionee grow in God and grow in her career has me beyond humbled and inspired. I love that girl.
In other words… HEY AMIGOS! This is outfit number 13. As you can see, I am ready, SO ready for the 22nd of February to come because I will be free from these apparel limitations. Next Wednesday is going to be so glorious! Haha. Now to outfit 13…

I wore an under shirt, in which I did not count as an item, cardigan number 8, jeans number 16, and vest number 2. Since it FINALLY snowed, the sidewalks and roads on campus were pretty bad so I wore my leopard print rainboots. I love those things. Functional and stylish at the same time. My hair was in a mid ponytail and then I added my gray beanie hat to stay warm. This outfit was last minute, since I did not get much sleep, but it worked for the weather conditions.
Next, I will do a post of my style icons. I am SO excited, since I have not really given all of you an idea of what combinations I like….well, maybe I have, but to an extent. This will show a better visual since I cannot do it until the challenge is over.
Nevertheless, stay tuned for the many new things Ionee and I have planned for you all to love and enjoy.

I love the brightness of these pics. I look so pale.
God is LOVE !

“Go to a place where you’re not going to be stressed, because a honeymoon itself can be a stressful thing.” -Diane von Furstenberg
Bonjour mes amis! (Hello my friends in French lol) So today I only had one class, my absolutely amazing textiles class, and I decided to throw on some fabulous comfortable clothes that where were also quite eye-catching. Let me tell you why they seemed to stand out in the middle of the Oklahoma State University campus. Most people in college, especially in the winter, do not really dress up because of the weather and because, of course, it’s school right? Well, let me say that if you do dress up, you are definitely a risk taker and I admire you for it. This is one of the things I am really trying to work on this new year; to dress up regardless of my mood or weather.
HOW DID I TURN A SIMPLE OUTFIT FOR SCHOOL INTO SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY?

Here is the wonderful answer :]

There are so many ways you can turn a casual outfit into a little more professional/elegant attire. I love to mix styles and make them clash in a manner that is harmonious, bringing the best of different worlds. It can be difficult at first, but very possible. To start, for some reason I wanted to wear my acid wash jeggins today (in which are burgundy and black). They are very rocker-ish, edgy, and urban. That is definitely something someone would not wear to an office environment, but as I usually do, I took a different route, other than the obvious, and assembled a business/casual look with them.

To start, I began with my jeggins and added a printed blouse. It didn’t really matter what color or

print, but I went for a polka dot shirt I thrifted in September, and layered it with a Forever21 chunky sweater. I could have worn a tribal print shirt, or even a flower print one, but to keep it a little more wintery (is that even a word?) than spring-ish, I selected the polka dots. I mean why not? They are a great trend this winter. Also, to add a little jazz, I pulled out the collar and wore it on top of the collar seam of the sweater, since the color of the sweater is very plain and dry. The contrast of the print on the neutral color made the outfit more mature but fun at the same time. It is fun to layer pieces, so I don’t think there are any rules on layering, as long as the prints and colors balance each other. Not only was I comfortable and warm in this, but I was also cute and sophisticated for class. SIDE NOTE; LADIES: Peter-Pan collars are trending and will continue to in the Spring so invest in shirts and blouses with fun collars.
The accessories I used were very simple. I love gold, therefore I added 4 gold necklaces to bring life to the grey sweater, plus the accents of the gold polka dots matched. Ha, I just made that realization.
Also, for my earrings I decided to keep it simple and wear pearls. All my ladies have to have a pair of pearl earrings and a necklace as well. They can easily add a simple touch of class to any assemble of clothes. That’s another post. Anyways, along with the classy look, I braided the front of my hair in a deep part and made a fun side bun. It was simple but very adequate with the outfit. I think I might do a tutorial for it, so stay tunned my loves. And lastly, my makeup was mostly natural. I added a touch of gold eyeshadow, little eyeliner, TONS of mascara for my luscious lashes, and a burgundy lipstick.
And now for the shoes… My favorite babies. My classic, black loafers from Aldo’s. I love these shoes so much. I can honestly wear these with anything and rock them. Obviously, today the shoes were appropriately matching to the style I was going for and on top of that, they are flats. What girl does not like a wonderful pair of flats? The only thing about them is that they are a size too small, so they are a little tight on my feet and can be uncomfortable if I wear them for too long.
Now I know better for future shopping instances.
Hope you guys enjoyed this outfit! <3
